Internships

Be a part of one of the most interesting labs at the University of Calgary! See how group therapy works, how patients feel about their doctors, medical treatments, or what they go through in their personal lives in dealing with issues like breast cancer.

We recruit new coders twice a year, around April-May and August-September. If you are interested in applying for an internship, please read the following.

Internship Requirements

Open Schedule

As long as the hourly requirements and assignments are met, an intern is free to come up with his or her own schedule as to when to come in and out.

Application Process

  1. Register for a one-hour internship session. Please email to leigh_li_yong@hotmail.com.
  2. Request for an interview. We require that you wait 24 hours after the internship session before requesting an interview.
  3. After 24 hours from the interview, if accepted, applicant accepts or rejects internship offer.
  4. Internship begins; attend ALL training sessions (3 total, once a week, three hours / wk) and perform required assignments (10-20 hrs / wk).

Wages

Unfortunately, the internship is unpaid. We sometimes have projects that allow funding for interns, or positions within the department that will give hiring priorities to interns.
